For Lucasfilm, I've been in discussions with Bob Iger and Alan Bergman for some time about what the leadership transition process might look like in the future. We have a great team and we intend to release an official statement in a few months to a year. We are in full agreement on this issue, and I continue to work.

Kennedy is currently busy producing a film based on The Mandalorian, and then plans to take on the film directed by Shawn Levy, which will be a sequel to the ninth episode of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Sunrise.

In addition, the head of Lucasfilm said that:

  • the script for Simon Kinberg's trilogy (X-Men: Dark Phoenix) may appear sometime in June;
  • James Mangold (“Bob Dylan: Nobody”) has begun work on the plot of his untitled prequel;
  • The very busy Taika Waititi has teamed up with another screenwriter to work on a new film in the Star Wars universe. Kennedy herself has already positively assessed the first act of the story.
