Fans of Star Wars: Zero Company are afraid of a repeat of the fate of Battlefront 2 and ask EA not to abandon the game
Star Wars: Zero Company had a successful start, showing the second highest online peak among Star Wars games - the project managed to surpass the figures of Jedi: Survivor and Jedi: Fallen Order. However, just a few days after the release, players began to worry about the future fate of the game.

The reason is the history of Star Wars Battlefront 2. Despite the extremely scandalous start, the game eventually received large-scale support: the developers reworked the progression system, disabled microtransactions, and then released major updates with content based on the Clone Wars, including Obi-Wan Kenobi and the Battle of Geonosis. However, in 2020, EA and DICE stopped regular support for the project.
Now Zero Company fans don't want this scenario to happen again. On Reddit, players are calling on the community to show EA interest in further development of the game.
“We need post-release content. We can't let EA kill this game like Battlefront."
Fans suggest adding new classes, weapons, characters, quests and even story additions in the future. Some especially want to see an endless or roguelike mode that would allow for virtually unlimited play.
At the same time, there are no guarantees that Zero Company will actually receive DLC or major updates. When asked about post-release content, the developers from Bit Reactor replied that they are now focused on the launch of the game and have nothing to announce yet.
In addition, the comparison with Battlefront 2 is not entirely correct: Zero Company is a single-player game, and not an online multiplayer project. Therefore, its future fate will most likely depend on Bit Reactor’s desire to continue working on the Star Wars universe.
And, judging by the words of studio head Greg Foerch, the team has such interest: Bit Reactor would like to continue working with existing franchises and potentially make new Star Wars games.
