New NVIDIA Game Ready driver created for Star Wars Zero Company - with support for DLSS 4.5 at launch

[Saturday, August 29, 2026]

Star Wars Zero Company was released yesterday, which means PC players have already performed the traditional pre-release ritual: updating their graphics card drivers and hoping that Windows doesn't suddenly discover seventeen more things that make it want to reboot too.

NVIDIA has released its latest GeForce Game Ready driver, and the top games included include Zero Company. More importantly, NVIDIA has confirmed that Bit Reactor's Star Wars tactical game will supportDLSS 4.5 Super Resolution and Multi Frame Generation from day one.

While Hawks and his team worry about the approaching end of the Republic, your graphics card can take care of boosting frame rates.

NVIDIA 616.56 driver is ready for use in Zero Company games.

The newGeForce Game Ready 616.56 WHQLdriver is available through the NVIDIA app and the GeForce website. In addition to Zero Company, it adds Game Ready support for Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy and Hell Let Loose: Vietnam.

An interesting point for Star Wars fans, however, is NVIDIA's confirmation that Zero Company will release with support for DLSS 4.5.

This includesDLSS 4.5 Super Resolution technology, which uses NVIDIA's second-generation Transformer model to reconstruct a higher-resolution image from an image with a lower internal rendering resolution. NVIDIA says this technology is available across the entire GeForce RTX family, which means it is not exclusive to the RTX 50 series.

A more radical option is Multi Frame Generation. On RTX 50 series graphics cards, DLSS 4.5 can generate additional frames between traditionally rendered frames, and the latest NVIDIA technology can significantly improve the original frame generation implementation.

For a turn-based tactics game, 300 frames per second is probably not as important from a strategy perspective as remembering the fact that a clone trooper standing in the open is about to be shot.

And yet, smoothness is smoothness.

One of the DLSS 4.5 features is not advertised here.

There is one useful difference in NVIDIA's statement.

Although NVIDIA just revealed broader support for DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction as part of its Gamescom announcements, the company specifically indicates that Zero Company will support Super Resolution and Multi Frame Generation at launch.

There is currently no information in the game description about support for the ray reconstruction method.

This may change in the future, but for now the most accurate statement is that Zero Company has been supporting DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution and multi-frame generation from day one.

That's still a pretty impressive feature set for a PC game that involves carefully moving little people around the battlefield.

Company Zero is almost here!

The driver appears at an interesting moment. Yesterday we learned that at least one physical copy of Zero Company for PS5 is already available to play ahead of the official release, meaning spoiler season has actually begun even before the official launch.

For those who follow the rules, Zero Company will release on August 27, and the PC version will join the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

PC players with NVIDIA graphics cards can now add one final item to prepare for tomorrow:

Update the driver.

Then spend twenty minutes adjusting your graphics settings before you start playing.

As required by tradition.
