Darth Vader may get a solo Star Wars movie
We may see Anakin Skywalker again after he returns in the second season of Ahsoka.

The Star Wars Theory YouTube channel, with 3.4 million subscribers, is discussing a rumor that Hayden Christensen is in the final stages of signing a contract with Disney and Lucasfilm. A Darth Vader movie is reportedly in development.
The source of the information is not specified, and at the moment none of the insiders have confirmed this. Of course, there have been no statements from Lucasfilm, Disney or Christensen.
Since Star Wars has lost approximately 85% of its movie audience, a solo film for Christensen's character is a logical step on Lucasfilm's part. It would be logical to make an announcement in 2027, since the franchise will celebrate its 50th anniversary. Christensen has already been announced for Star Wars Celebration in April.
Earlier, insider Daniel Richtman said that the actor would take part in at least two more projects after the second season ofAhsoka. Christensen himself has recently been talking more and more often aboutStar Wars.
Why Darth Vader may return
The author of Star Wars Theory does not claim that the rumor is confirmed. However, he does explain why this may be true.
His argument is that the Vader movie is the only powerful weapon left inStar Wars. The studio has already tried all the other obvious steps, including the Mandalorian film and the Kenobi series. Darth Vader with Hayden Christensen is the maximum for the franchise.
A project like this can be compared to the return of Tobey Maguire as Spider-Man or Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. Vader's full return to the big screen is a potential box office hit.
However, such a story needs the right script. This cannot be another Vader hunt for Jedi survivors after Order 66.
The second season of Ahsoka will premiere on January 20, 2027 on Disney+.
