New details of the canceled remake of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake by Aspyr have surfaced online. Journalists found a raw version of one of the cut scenes in the portfolio of a former studio artist.

The video does not allow us to evaluate the visual style of the failed project, but makes it clear that they were going to voice the main character. This is very different from the original version, where the protagonist was always silent.

The remake of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic was announced back in 2021. According to report by journalist Stephen Totilo dated December 2025, Aspyr was removed from the remake - screenshots of an early version of the game were leaked online in the fall. The development was allegedly undertaken by Mad Head Games, owned by Saber. Before that, she helped Aspyr create the remake.

The studio recently confirmed that the project is alive and in development, although there are no details about it yet.
