The premiere date for Ahsoka season 2 has been postponed - the first video promises a battle with Thrawn

Ahsoka's return has been delayed, but Dave Filoni hinted it will be worth the wait.
At the Disney TV lineup presentation, Rosario Dawson confirmed that the series Ahsoka (Ahsoka) will return in the first half of 2027. According to Deadline, she also hinted, “This season, the battles will be bigger and the stakes will be higher.”
Series creator Dave Filoni and some of the actors presented a fragment of the project. Epic galactic battles await in the second season ofAhsoka.
Game of Thrones star Rory McCann has taken Ray Stevenson's place as Bailan Skoll, and Admiral Ackbar will return, as Filoni promises: "He will go toe-to-toe with Thrawn."
Why such a delay?

The release was initially expected at the end of 2026. The almost four-year wait for the sequel is sure to upset manyStar Warsfans. Original plans called for the fourth season of The Mandalorian to fill the gap between the first and second seasons of Ahsoka, but this idea was scrapped in favor of The Mandalorian and Grogu.
The first season ofAhsoka ended with Grand Admiral Thrawn returning to the mainStar Wars galaxyalong with the Great Mothers of Dathomir. Ezra Bridger also returned, but Ahsoka and Sabine were left on Peridea with no obvious route home.
Filoni previously revealed that he has an ending to Ahsoka's story. Even if there is no third season of the series, he intends to complete her story arc.
