Critics have mixed opinions about The Mandalorian and Grogu

Star Warshas returned to the big screen with The Mandalorian and Grogu (The Mandalorian and Grogu), which premiered in Los Angeles.
Immediately after the show, representatives of the press were able to share their impressions on social networks. Of course, the first opinions are usually positive, since critics do not want to quarrel with the studio, which may not invite you to the premiere in the future. It’s better to wait for full reviews, but there are still negative reactions.
Media representatives are calling the return of the franchise “an exciting adventure,” “the perfect summer movie,” and “a lot of fun.” Some critics note that the project stands out from other releases in the franchise. Several moments have never been seen before in Star Wars.
Some criticize the film for feeling like a long episode of a TV series. Fans who saw the beginning also spoke about this.
Critics' reactions to the new Star Wars

So far, everything indicates that the picture turned out to be mediocre. If the reviews are mostly negative, this could impact the collections. The forecasts for the start are not particularly encouraging anyway.
It's less about the lore and more about a fun, crazy journey through the galaxy. I really liked it. I also really enjoyed Ludwig Göransson's score, especially the parts that felt like an homage to the synth horror and action films of the 80s... It reminded me how much fun Star Warscan be when it stops worrying about canon and just lets the imagination run wild. Think of it as an exciting Saturday afternoon session and you'll have a lot of fun.

It has one or two standout scenes, but it seems much more interested in developing the story in new locations with new creatures than in the characters.I liked some things, but the rest was disappointing.
— Germaine Lussier from i09
Creating a live-action Hutt is no easy task, and a Hutt gladiator even more so. Interestingly, Rotta's dialogue was often too straightforward. I liked him, but it seems that his place in the world and his mission could have been more convincingly shown.
— Collider's Peri Nemiroff
One of the weakest Star Wars. An emotionless, predictable film that doesn't move Din Djarin anywhere interesting. Boring, uninteresting fight scenes; just computer monsters. Figures collected together. Long, colorless TV movie.

Rental of The Mandalorian and Grogu starts on May 21.
