John Boyega met with Lucasfilm - Finn could return to Star Wars
Kathleen Kennedy is no longer president of Lucasfilm, which means Dave Filoni now decides which previously announced films get the green light. Kennedy's presidency was marked by announcements that ultimately came to nothing.
At Star Wars Celebration 2023, we first learned about plans for a Star Wars starring Daisy Ridley's Rey Skywalker. Since then, several writers have worked on the project, and it appears that the project has never gotten any closer to production.
Although Ridley was the only confirmed star, other familiar faces were expected to join her. InStar Wars: The Rise of Skywalker RisingThere were hints that Finn may be Force-sensitive, making him a likely candidate to join the new Jedi Order.
According to insider Daniel Richtman on social network X, John Boyega has met with Lucasfilm representatives about his return. It is not known where exactly Finn will appear.
Perhaps the hero will return in the new trilogy by Simon Kinberg (X-Men). Filoni reportedly praised Kinberg's work.
The actor was disappointed with Star Wars

Boyega recently hinted that he is in talks with Lucasfilm. He said he had "already contacted" Filoni.
Previously, the actor spoke negatively about his experience working on Star Wars. While he expressed gratitude for the opportunity to be part of a major franchise, he spoke of disappointment in his character's development.
In past interviews, Boyega has noted that Finn's story arc has not progressed. InThe Last Jedithe character was separated from Rey and the idea that the former stormtrooper could be connected to the Force was abandoned. InThe Rise of Skywalker Sunrisethis plot was returned, but the finale was full of events, so the idea was never fully revealed.
There has been no official announcement of Boyega's return for any upcoming projects. As it became known recently, the studio management is changing the franchise development strategy.
