Star Wars Day: Fans watched 33 billion minutes of the franchise in 2025

The Star Wars franchise was viewed on streaming platforms for 33 billion minutes in 2025.

The largest share of views was made up of Star Wars films - 44.2%. Game shows accounted for 38.9%, and animated Star Wars projects accounted for 16.8%. Documentaries about the franchise accounted for only 0.2% of all viewings. The most viewed title was A New Hope, followed by The Phantom Menace and then Rogue One.

Andor became the most-watched live-action series with 7.4 billion minutes, helped by the fact that the series released its highly anticipated second season between April and May 2025. During this time, it entered the Nielsen Top 10 Streaming Originals chart for six consecutive weeks. After Andor, the most watched series were The Skeleton Crew and The Mandalorian.
