SDCC 2026: All the news about books and comics from the Lucasfilm publishing panel

Celebrate the 50th anniversary of Star Wars with the next adventure of the Skywalker twins and more highlights from today's panel.

Today, actor Ahmed Best, who played Jar Jar Binks and wrote the Star Wars comics, was joined by fellow authors Anthony Breznican, Ashley Poston and Kirsten White, as well as Lucasfilm creative director Michael Siglain. The conversation was moderated by writer and editor-in-chief of StarWars.com Christine Baver.

Author Beth Revis returns to the Star Wars universe with Star Wars: Twin Crossroads, a new adult book from Random House Worlds that follows the adventures of Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa.
Revis recently gave an interview detailing the new chapter in the Skywalker story, and the interview is available only on StarWars.com.

In 2027, it's time forStar Wars: A Celebration!
StarWars.com previously announced that for the first time, the novelizations of the original Star Wars trilogy will be available as complete audiobooks. New editions, narrated by Mark Thompson, will be released on February 2, 2027 in all stores where audiobooks are sold.

New original graphic novels will give fans ofStar Warsnew perspectives.
SDCC visitors got their first look at the cover of Mad Cave Studio's Star Wars: ANew Hope- Triple Take, scheduled for release in February 2027. The script was written by Kim Shearer and Chas Pangburn.


This fall, two more graphic novels for middle school age will appear on bookstore shelves: "Treasure Race JabbaKavana Scott and Christian Colbert, as well as "Legendabout Beggar's Canyon" by Greg Puck with illustrations by Brent Schoonover.

Visitors were able to look inside the comic bookStar Wars: TheHigh RepublicAdventuresPathfinders #4 fromDark Horse Comics, written by George Mann and with cover art by Jake Bartok.The series follows a team of Republic intelligence officers sent to a remote corner of the galaxy to investigate the death of a Jedi Master.

Marvel Comics has unveiled new covers for The FallKylo Ren from Charles Soule and Will Sliney, as well as variant covers for upcoming standalone issues such as Star Wars: The BookBoba Fett and Star Wars:Rogue One.

Hiding from the DarkandEyes Like Starsopen up new genres in a galaxy far, far away.
The middle grade horror novel Hiding from the Dark by Kirsten White and the young adult novel Eyes Like Stars by Ashley Poston are the first forays into literary genres previously unexplored within the Star Wars universe.

This comic is worthy of a museum!
The publishing panel also featured a surprise from beyond the Star Wars galaxy: the creative team of Jason Aaron and Aaron Kuder presents an all-new comic book series from Marvel Comics called Indiana Jones and the Sword of Pandemonium'! This five-issue limited series picks up immediately after the events of Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark and launches in December 2026.
Also soon from Marvel Comics will be released "Indiana Jones: The Further Adventures. Volume 1 and Vol. 2, including film adaptations of the films Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, as well as the Further Adventures of Indiana Jones series, expanding the mythology of the character.
