Amy Adams says her role in Star Wars: Starfighter is small but important

Amy Adams, one of the most famous actresses associated with the film Starfighter, revealed a few details about her participation in the filming of the new film, including the fact that she was not on set for long.
After talking about her long and busy career, the hosts of the Smartless podcast (Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes and Will Arnett) finally addressed the topic of her role in the film Star Wars: Starfighter. Here's what she said about the nature of her role and the experience of filming:
“I had a very small role... I really enjoyed [seeing all the props and] I went to the creature workshop twice - yeah, it's so cool! I'm sure I'll talk about this later, but... I don't know what I'm allowed to talk about, but on my first day of work, I was so nervous that I forgot how to play. I'm sure Shawn Levy was asking, "Amy, are you okay?" And I answered: “No. I'm just not okay!'... I'm on the set of Star Warsand I, you know, grew up with it. Now I have to get out of my nerdy fangirl mode and into professional actress mode, and juggling those two things has been very difficult... This is so cool, guys - it's just so cool, [and although I can't say much, I can say that Flynn Gray] is just great."
Although the studio has yet to confirm it, Last August it was reported that Adams will play the mother of Flynn Gray's character, who, along with Ryan Gosling, will be the main character of the film. Other rumors suggest that Adams' character is also a Jedi. The actress previously worked with Levy on 2009'sNight at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian and also starred in 2016's Arrival, which Levy also produced.
Star Wars: Starfighter is currently in post-production, filming wrapped in late 2025 and is scheduled for release on May 28, 2027. The film was directed by Shawn Levy (Night at the Museum, Deadpool and Wolverine) and written by frequent collaborator Jonathan Tropper (Warrior, The Adam Project). The spin-off tells a story set five years after the end of the nine-episode Skywalker saga. The cast includes Ryan Gosling, Flynn Gray, Matt Smith, Mia Goth, Aaron Pierre, Simon Bird, Jamael Westman, Daniel Ings and Amy Adams.
