Ubisoft counted on the huge success of Star Wars Outlaws and prepared 6 add-ons instead of two

According to a reliable insider on the Star Wars universe, known under the nickname FivesWalker, the original plan for supporting the game Star Warrs Outlaws involved the release of six story expansions, not two, as came out in reality. The reason is that Ubisoft management was confident that the project would be “MUCH more successful” than it actually was.

Star Wars Outlaws was expected to be much more successful than it turned out to be. Initially, 6 additions were planned, one of which was supposed to be directly related to the novel. And yes, a sequel was even planned.

Star Wars Outlaws faced a mixed reaction: technical roughness at launch coincided with a culture war over the appearance of the main character and general fatigue with sandboxes. Over time, gamers began to reconsider their opinion, appreciating the adventures of Kay and Nyx, but this could not save the situation.

It was previously reported that the Outlaws sequel was canceled due to low sales. The news of six planned DLCs is further confirmation of how catastrophic the discrepancy between expectations and reality has been for the publisher. Now fans can only guess what other adventures are in store for Kay and her little companion.
