Lucasfilm's latest theatrical release in the Star Wars universe has almost reached the break-even point. The sci-fi action movie “The Mandalorian and Grogu” grossed $315.1 million worldwide. Last weekend added another $7.1 million to director Jon Favreau's treasury outside the United States, bringing the international box office to $150 million.

The production of the film cost the studio approximately $165–170 million. Financial analysts agree that for full payback the project needs to reach $330–340 million. Thus, in order to cover all costs and turn a profit, the tape needs to raise less than $25 million.
