On May 4, Burger King will have dishes from The Mandalorian and Grogu on its menu.

Star Wars-themed fast food promotions are usually a little chaotic by design, but Burger King's new promotion tied to the Mandalorian series and the Grogu movie sounds like the company knows exactly what kind of chaos it wants. Burger King has officially announced the launch of a limited-time menu on May 4th at participating U.S. restaurants in honor of the upcoming film, which will be released in theaters on May 22, 2026.
And yes, menu names play a very important role.
According to Burger King's official statement, the line includes the BBQ Bounty Whopper, Grogu's Blue Cookie Shake, Grogu's Garlic Chicken Fries and Imperial Cheddar Ranch Tots. The chain is also releasing four collectible cups that can be redeemed with the purchase of select items, including the Bounty Bundle, BBQ Bounty Whopper Combo and Grogu's Garlic Chicken Fry Combo 12 Piece.
The menu is designed in the style of "Star Wars" in the best sense of the word.
The most obvious hit is the BBQ Bounty Whopper, which Burger King says consists of a grilled quarter-pound beef patty, Swiss cheese, pickles, bacon, lettuce, tomato and creamy Bounty BBQ sauce, all served in a helmet-shaped cardboard box inspired by “the most legendary bounty hunter in the galaxy." This is either brilliantly thought out branding or the moment your lunch is officially commoditized. Most likely, both.
Then comes the Grog portion of the project, which does exactly what you'd expect from an ad campaign built around the franchise's most popular little creature. Burger King says the Grogu Blue Cookie Shake is a soft-serve ice cream concoction with blue sugar cookie syrup topped with a blue cookie, while Grogu's Garlic Chicken Fries are seasoned with Parmesan and garlic and served in a Grogu-themed package with garlic sauce.Rounding out the arrangement are the Imperial Cheddar Ranch Potato Balls, cheddar-stuffed potato balls topped with ranch dressing and served in an Imperial-style carton.
There is also an active campaign to promote baby food.
Burger King is not limited to the main menu. The company also says that starting on April 28, it will be launching a "The Mandalorian and Grogu King Junior Bundle" promotion, which includes a hamburger or four chicken nuggets, applesauce, fries, milk or apple juice, and a Mandalorian-themed toy, while supplies last. So yeah, it's pretty much one of those campaigns where "everyone in the car now gets an Star-themed meal wars."
Why this option will probably work
The real reason this promotion seems promising is because it understands the challenge at hand. It doesn't try to be inconspicuous and doesn't pretend to be a premium film kitchen. She focuses on the May 4th timing, themed packaging, Grogu-colored sugar, and bounty hunter branding just weeks before the film's release. Burger King's own statement portrays this entire promotion as a way to bring the excitement of The Mandalorian and Grogu directly into restaurants, and frankly, that's exactly what it looks like.
So if your Star Wars-themed spring diet includes a blue milkshake, garlic chicken fries, and a collectible mug, Burger King wants you to know: This is the way to go.
