The Mandalorian and Grogu Trailer: Baby Yoda vs. AT-AT, Son of Jabba the Hutt, Sigourney Weaver, Oh My!
It's a bird! It's a plane! It's Baby Yoda, who for a minute and a half becomes too cute for words. Yes, the first teaser trailer for The Mandalorian and Grogu is here. It's full of Star Wars treats, including Baby Yoda and the Mandalorian impressively blowing up an AT-AT, Sigourney Weaver making her Star Wars debut, and a really, really beefy Jeremy Allen White as Jabba the Hutt's son, Rotta. But let's face it, mostly this trailer reminds us of the most important aspect of any Mandalorian project: how incredibly cute Grogu is. You can watch the first trailer for The Mandalorian and Grogu below.
We honestly can't stop admiring it. But aside from the trailer looking absolutely adorable, The Mandalorian and Grogu also have the energy of an epic Star Wars movie. We see The Mandalorian and Grogu travel from planet to planet, from prank to prank, and we're sure it's going to be one big fun adventure.
The official description, released alongside The Mandalorian trailer and Grogu, tells us more about what we can expect from the film:
The evil Empire fell, and the imperial commanders remained scattered throughout the galaxy. As the fledgling New Republic strives to protect everything the Rebellion stands for, it enlists the help of legendary Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and his young apprentice Grogu. Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu was directed by Jon Favreau, starring Sigourney Weaver, and produced by Jon Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Dave Filoni and Ian Bryce. The music for the film was written by Ludwig Göransson.

It looks like this new Star Wars movie will feature the Mandalorian and Grogu on a series of missions for the New Republic - and if you ask us, that's a pretty interesting concept for a movie: one heist after another. Speaking of sounds, the teaser for The Mandalorian and Grogu makes great use of the epic theme song from The Mandalorian, giving us reason to hope that the Star Wars filmmakers know exactly how to play on our emotions.

In the trailer for The Mandalorian and Grogu, we see a lot of interesting events. First, it looks like The Mandalorian has somehow managed to bring back his iconic ship, the Razor Crest, from the scrapyard it ended up in in The Mandalorian. Plus, we see Baba Frik, everyone's favorite Anzellan from The Rise of Skywalker. Rising" returns in this Star Wars film. He and Grogu look like they're sneaking around somewhere they shouldn't be. Sigourney Weaver also finally appears on the scene, but all we know about her is that she won't give Grogu a snack.

And then, maybe? Yes, that's Zeb back in live action. Zeb, or Garazeb "Zeb" Orrelios, is a beloved character from the Ghost team in Star Wars Rebels. He made his live-action debut in The Mandalorian, so it makes sense that he returns in this trailer for Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu. Then Rotta the Hutt, played by Jeremy Allen White, and more Anzellans appear. Of course, the highlight of the trailer is the Mandalorian and Grogu flying out of the AT-AT as it explodes around them. Ugh! As Babu Frik says: “Nice shot, baby!”

Of course, stars Pedro Pascal and animatronic Baby Yoda/Grogu will return for the big screen adventure. As mentioned, they will be joined by Sigourney Weaver in an as-yet-unknown role and Jeremy Allen White, who will take on the role of Jabba the Hutt's son.Judging by the trailer for The Mandalorian and Grogu, Rotta will be running some kind of fighting ring in the film.

You can also check out the first poster for The Mandalorian and Grogu below. As we said, Grogu will be back in this new Star Wars movie as "himself."
