Ryan Gosling in a new photo of the film "Star Wars: Starfighter"

Star Wars returns to theaters next year, ushering in a new era for the franchise. Following the filmThe Mandalorian and Groguwill be releasedStarfighter(Star Wars: Starfighter).

The filming process began in August, and we have already received our first look at the project. Half a month later, director Shawn Levy (Deadpool and Wolverine) presented a fresh photo from the production. The shot below features Ryan Gosling and Flynn Gray.

The cast also includes Mia Goth, Aaron Pierre, Simon Bird, Jamael Westman, Daniel Ings and Amy Adams. The role of the main villain went to Matt Smith. We haven't seen any other actors yet.

Starfighter Details

The story is dedicated to Gosling's hero, who protects his young nephew from certain pursuers. They were the ones in the latest photo.

The action takes place approximately five years after the ninth episode. According to rumors, some characters from the sequel trilogy may return.

The premiere is scheduled for May 28, 2027.
