Star Wars: Beyond Victory Mixed Reality Playset Trailer and Release Date Revealed

26 years after Anakin Skywalker won the Boonta Eve Classic in The Phantom Menace, Star Wars fans are getting the chance to delve into the world of pod racing in a new adventure.

Star Wars: Beyond Victory - Mixed Reality Playset is a new mixed reality experience created by Industrial Light & Magic for Meta Quest 3 and 3S. The official release date was announced today - October 7, 2025.

Beyond Victory is an original story set during the reign of the Empire in the dangerous world of pod racing. The main character is Volo Bolus, an ambitious four-armed pilot who learned from pod racing legend Sebulba. Yes, Sebulba will return in Beyond Victory. Also returning from The Phantom Menace is Fode, the pod racing commentator. Sebulba will once again be voiced by Lewis MacLeod, and Greg Prooops will return to voice Fode.

Beyond Victory's cast also includes Bobby Moynihan (LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy), Fin Argus (Queer as Folk) and Lilimar Hernandez (Inside Out 2).

Beyond Victory will include 3 different game modes, which are detailed below.

  • Adventure Mode: This is the main narrative journey, starring the character Volo Bolus. In addition to Sebulba and Fode, the story will also feature Sebulba's pink-haired business partner Luda, Volo's friend Deland Tyrell, a Twi'lek mechanic named Sorna, and Grakkus the Hutt from the Star Wars comics.
  • Arcade Mode: This mode “transforms the player's physical space into a holo-table style racing arena where high-speed pod racing is controlled from a top-down view.Each track has multiple paths to the finish, providing fast and repeatable fun for fans of classic arcade gameplay."
  • Game Pack Mode: “Encourages players to express their creativity in a dynamic sandbox set in a galaxy far, far away. Using unlockable digital figures, including vehicles and iconic characters, populate your physical environment and stage your own Star Wars stories.
