Star Wars may soon reveal Qui-Gon's important secret
Unlike the Sith, Jedi can remain conscious after death, becoming Force ghosts. This skill usually requires specialized training, and Qui-Gon Jinn was one of the first known Jedi with this skill.

Qui-Gon Jinn was one of the first Jedi to master this ability, and it was he who passed on the knowledge to Yoda, who then shared the knowledge with Obi-Wan. However, we may soon see Qui-Gon himself become a Force ghost.
As seen in the new canonical comic book series Jedi Knights, a mysterious assassin named Corlys Rath is hunting Qui-Gon. Apparently he has some kind of vendetta, even though the Jedi has no idea who he is.
In the sixth issue, Corlis and Qui-Gon meet on the planet Mina-Rau (from the second season of Andora). Taking the Djinn by surprise, Rath mortally wounds him with poisoned blades.

In Jedi Knights #7, Ayala Secura and Mace Windu travel to Sinsara. As it turns out, this is a dark planet that supposedly holds the antidote to the poison that threatened to kill Qui-Gon long before his real death inThe Phantom Menaceat the hands of Darth Maul.
Secura and Windu received the antidote from a group of warriors known as the Exiles. Some kind of connection was implied between the Djinn and the Exiles, and by the end of the issue he is injected with an antidote.

Will Qui-Gon's coma reveal his deepest Force secret?
As shown on the last page of issue seven, Qui-Gon is in a coma, even after the antidote saved his life. This is certainly an opportunity to reveal how the Force can help him get back on track.
Fans hope that the Force will guide him in search of new knowledge, especially those that will help him become a Force ghost. After all, it was Qui-Gon's spirit that guided Yoda inThe Clone Warsas he sought out the Force Priestesses and their hidden secrets at the Well of Life.
