6 Star Wars TV series confirmed for release

New projects in theStar Wars franchiseare regularly released on Disney+, although there have been some difficulties with the films.
Since 2019, Lucasfilm studio has released several shows, some of which were both successful and not so successful. From 2026, the focus will again shift to films, but there are currently six TV series in development. Here are all of them.
LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy: Pieces of the Past

The next project on the schedule is a LEGO spin-off. The animated series will be released on September 19, representing a four-part adventure made from construction bricks.
This is a continuation of the show, which tells the story of a young nerf shepherd, Sig Gribling. The hero is tasked with piecing the galaxy together after he accidentally changes the course of history. In general, something like "What if..?"from Marvel.
Star Wars: Visions (Season 3)

This is supposedly the final season of the animated show, which is scheduled to air on October 29th. This is already more reminiscent of Death, Love and Robots, with different studios telling different non-canonical stories.
The first season was created exclusively by Japanese teams, but from the second they decided to expand the geography. The third season will again feature anime stories from Japanese authors.
Star Wars: Visions - The Ninth Jedi

A full-fledged spin-off of Visions, which will continue the events of one of the episodes. A similar trick was repeated by Marvel Studios withMarvel Zombies, which “grew up” from the series“What If..?”.
The series tells the story of the young daughter of a lightsaber forge, who is pursued by terrifying dark forces. The premiere will take place in 2026.
"Maul: Lord of Shadows"

For canon fans there will also be an animated series dedicated to Darth Maul. This is a kind of continuation ofThe Clone WarsandThe Bad Batch. Sam Witwer returns to voice the Sith
The series is described as a dark story focusing on Maul's inner feelings after the death of the Jedi. The show will see the villain become disillusioned with the Empire by founding Crimson Dawn. The release is expected in 2026.
Ahsoka (Season 2)

Currently the only series in the franchise with live actors. The Rosario Dawson-starring show is expected to return in 2026 with a renewed focus on the Jedi.
In the sequel, the heroes will find themselves in a difficult situation. Ahsoka was stuck in another galaxy with Sabine Wren, and Grand Admiral Thrawn returned to his home universe in search of an army.
Star Wars by Carlton and Nick Cuse

The latest known television project of the franchise, which is currently being developed by Lucasfilm. This show is from father-son producing duo Carlton and Nick Cuse.
Carlton Cuse is best known as the co-showrunner of Lost, as well as the producer of such TV hits asBates Motel,The StrainandJack Ryan. What exactly this will be is unknown. You shouldn't expect a release before 2027.
