Ahmed Best played Jar Jar Binks in the 1999 filmStar Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace. However, he is famous not only for his role as a Gungan.

In the third season of the seriesThe Mandalorian, Jedi knight Kelleran Beck appeared, who saved Grogu. He was played by Best. Interestingly, Beck first appeared in the web seriesStar Wars: Jedi Temple Challenge. AfterThe Mandalorianhe disappeared.

In an interview with ComicBook as part of Star Wars Celebration 2025, the actor said that he has no plans yet leave the role.

I'm always ready to put on the robe again. I've imagined his future adventures in my head, so hopefully we can make it a reality one day. It was fun to play him.

Best added that his short fight scene inThe Mandalorianwas only “one-tenth of one percent of what can be shown.” The actor wants to star in a large-scale battle.

Jar Jar is not that interesting

Although Best believes that fans have been able to accept Jar Jar Binks after decades, he is more interested in returning to the image of the Jedi. Largely because it seems important to him to teach children.

I think there are many stories to be told about the Jedi. There were many careless Jedi teachers inStar Wars. When we first met Yoda, he didn't want to teach Luke Skywalker. When we first saw Anakin, Yoda, Mace Windu and Obi-Wan Kenobi said, "Don't teach this child."

Kelleran Beck wants to be a teacher. This is his calling. And while Kelleran is one of the coolest Jedi to ever don the robe, his true passion is raising Jedi.

The actor believes that teachers are superheroes. Therefore, he would like to show more of how the Jedi teach.
