Star Wars timeline: how not to get lost
Our selection is dedicated only to the Star Wars series, but it is important to note the correct chronology of the projects so that moviegoers who are just getting acquainted with the universe can understand the events taking place. The Acolyte

The story is about two twin sisters - May, a Sith apprentice who takes revenge on the Jedi for the destruction of her community, and Osha, who is trying to save the Order. Their confrontation is a dark drama from a distant era.
Live action. Disney had every chance, but The Acolyte became the most controversial Star Wars series - the rating speaks for itself. Fans are indignant, the script is lame, and critics shrug their shoulders. After the first season, the series was closed.
Role in Canon: The earliest project in the Star Wars chronology, exploring the era of the High Republic, previously known only from books and comics.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars

The return of McGregor and Hayden Christensen caused a stir, but the series wasn't liked by everyone due to its uneven plot. It's still nice to see familiar Star Wars characters.

Rogue One is one of the best stories in Star Wars. It hooked me so much that it became the most watched film in the series. Disney has packaged Cassian Andor's backstory into two seasons. The final chapter of his adventures before the events of the film will connect the two time periods.
The best Star Wars series cost Disney $250 million. Deep, dark, with a great script - it's like Rogue One, but longer. The series was delayed for a long time due to the writers' strike.

The Mandalorian

All 11 of the series listed are part of the official Star Wars canon established by Disney after 2014: The Acolyte, The Clone Wars, The Bad Batch, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Rebels, Andor, The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, Ahsoka, The Backbone, and The Resistance. They complement the films, deepening the lore and connecting eras. Non-canonical projects, such as Droids and Ewoks, are classified as Legends.
