LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy: Pieces of the Past will feature Ahsoka and...Jackson from LEGO BrickHeadz?!
At the Star Wars Celebration Japan, a new four-part sequel was announced on Disney+ - and there's plenty to be excited about.

Today on the Star Wars stageCelebration LIVE! LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy: Pieces of the Past was announced in Japan, with actor Ahmed Best, who plays Jar Jar Binks, making a surprise appearance to talk about how his character was reimagined in LEGO form and became fan favorite Darth Jar Jar inLEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy.
“I always liked this Darth Jar Jar Jar theory,” Best said. “You know what's funny? People would come up to me and say, “Have you heard that theory about Darth Jar Jar Jar?” And I thought: how could I not hear? [laughs] She's everywhere. But I've always wanted to explore this whole Darth Jar Jar story. So when Rebuild the Galaxy came along, I thought, oh, this is just perfect. This is the best way to explore Darth Jar Jar Jar and start talking about him. I got to do a whole bunch of improv comedy while we were doing it, and that's mine. I liked it.”
One of Best’s favorite improvisations was Darth Jar Jar’s line: “I am the hidden threat.” I've always been a covert threat." He added with a smile: "This is what I've been meaning to say for over 20 years."
But of course, the original Rebuild the Galaxy left Darth Jar Jar with a bit of a cliffhanger ending. That's why, with a special video greeting from showrunners and writers Dan Hernandez and Benji Samit, a new sequel, Pieces of the Past, was announced, which will be released on September 19, 2025 on Disney+.

“We were asked what's next for Sig, Yesi and Jedi Bob? Will there be another Darth Jar Jar? Hernandez explained. “Star WarsCelebration fans, we are pleased to announce that their story will continue.”Samit then revealed the new season's title with a hand-crafted LEGO brick-by-brick time-lapse show.
After the welcome, a new poster was revealed, full of enticing surprises and hints about what this new LEGO Star Wars story has to offer. There's a brick-built Chewbacca made from over 2,000 individual LEGO pieces, and wait a minute. Is this... Jackson?! The one and only smuggler Lepi, who first appeared in the classic Marvel comicsStar Wars?! Of course it is. Having appeared in a number ofStar Warscomics in recent years, this will be Jackson's first named appearance in animated history. The character will be voiced by comedian (and occasional Sonic the Hedgehog) Ben Schwartz.
But that's not all! A distinctive LEGO BrickHeadz version of Ahsoka Tano will also appear in Pieces of the Past. Ahsoka's voice actress, Ashley Eckstein, took the stage to cheers from fans holding LEGO BrickHeadz Ahsoka in her arms and talked about her involvement in the series.
“When I got the call that I was coming back as Ahsoka, I cried,” Eckstein told the crowd of fans. “I missed her so much. I missed you all so much. It truly was a dream come true. I'm such a big LEGO fan. I have so many of these Asok BrickHeadz, and now I can voice her!”
Eckstein noted that Ahsoka's storyline in Pieces of the Past is "such a good representation of Ahsoka," as she put it. “Last time I was on this stage, I talked about how Ahsoka lives in all of us, and we really made Ahsoka's story our own story. We've experienced Star Warsfor a generation through Ahsoka's eyes... and we literally created our own story through Ahsoka, and that's what this story is about. BrickHeadz Ahsoka has so much heart and we can all relate to her. You'll love it."
