Star Wars: Beyond Victory - ILM's Mixed Reality Playset Is Prepping for Star Wars Celebration

IntroducingStar Wars: Beyond Victory - A Mixed Reality Playset, a new experience from Industrial Light & Magic and Lucasfilm! Meet up-and-comer Volo Bolus as they join forces with legendary pilot Pod Sebulba in this thrilling, engines-roaring mixed reality experience. Set during the time of Solo: A Star Wars Story, Beyond Victory will feature an exciting story and many unique modes for players to enjoy.
Star Wars: Beyond Victory is currently in development for Meta Quest headsets, and fans in Tokyo are among the first to try it out.



Meet Volo, Luuda and the especially dangerous Dag
In their first look at Beyond Victory, visitors to Celebration find themselves in the boots of young Volo Bolus, a podracer desperate to make a name for himself. Luuda, Sebulba's business partner, has an offer for Volo and they willingly accept it.But do they really know what they're getting into?

In Beyond Victory you control a racing pod as it speeds through canyons and avoids (and sometimes crashes into) obstacles on a race track. With Luuda and Sebulba in your ear, giving you advice, suggestions and the occasional insult, you'll get a crash course in podracing like no other.
The VR experience will offer fans three different modes:
- Adventure: Using a combination of virtual and mixed reality, the story follows Volo, an aspiring podracer whose life is turned upside down under the leadership of the infamous Sebulba.
- Arcade: Experience the thrill of mixed reality pod racing on a virtual holographic table that puts players in the middle of the action like never before.
- Game Set: Transform the physical world around you and create your own incredible Star Wars moments in mixed reality with a collection of unlockable virtual figures and vehicles.

Party-goers will be able to participate (and wear a headset) in more than a dozen Quest gaming stations, featuring a first look atStar Wars: Beyond Victory - A Mixed Reality Playset, as well as demos of fan favoritesVader Immortal: A Star Wars VR SeriesandStar Wars: Tales from the Galaxy's Edge.
Star Wars Celebration Japan 2025 will take place from April 18 to 20 at the Makuhari Messe Convention Center. The ILM/Meta activation will take place in Hall 4, stand No. 20-5.
