New map of the Star Wars universe spans 100,000 light years and contains hundreds of planets

Think you know everything about Star Wars? Think again. Thanks to the Official Star Wars Site fans can now explore an incredibly detailed map of the galaxy, spanning hundreds of planets and accompanied by an impressive 59-page reference book.

The map originally appeared in the 2009 edition of Star Wars: The Essential Atlas, but has recently been updated to include virtually every planet and location imaginable. There are both classic worlds like Tatooine and little-known corners of the galaxy, such as Gravlex Med.

Of particular value to fans is the inclusion of planets in the map that can bring adventures from the Legends universe into canon. Thus, the map shows Rakata Prime, a planet known to players of Knights of the Old Republic.

The scale of the map is truly cosmic - there are more than 100,000 light years from edge to edge. There is so much information that the developers even created a separate detailed guide for navigation on all of this worlds.

The most interesting point was one noticeable absence from the list of planets. We are talking about the Camino, which is not marked on the map. Eagle-eyed fans immediately noticed this was a great reference to the prequels - remember how Count Dooku erased Kamino from the Jedi archives? It looks like the map creators decided to keep this joke.

At the same time, the “missing” planet At Attin from the TV series “Support Team” is present on the map, which adds an additional layer of meaning to this Easter egg.

For those who are ready to completely immerse themselves in the study of a galaxy far, far away, the official website offers to download the full version of the map and reference book.
