Big changes await Star Wars: The Old Republic: new story chapters, customization and the transition to DirectX 12
Star Wars: The Old Republic producer Keith Kanneg shared fresh details about the future of the cult MMORPG. In a letter to the community, he summed up the past months and told what to expect in the coming updates.

The recently released Update 7.7, Dynamic Worlds, brought more action-packed planet events, a new PvE mode, Relentless Replication Master, Season 8 of PvP, and customization updates—including new skin colors for races like the Chiss, Togruta, and Mirialan.
In the next update, players will find a new galactic season, expanded appearance customization options (in particular for Rattataki), as well as fixes for companions that were not finalized in 7.7. But the main thing is that major story additions Galactic Threads and Master’s Enigma are coming. More details will be revealed in a live broadcast dedicated to patch 7.7.1. The exact broadcast date has not yet been announced.
Another important innovation is working on the transition of SWTOR to DirectX 12. According to Kanneg, the team already has a stable version, but it still needs to adapt the interface and test with community support.
It looks like SWTOR is not going to slow down and is preparing for a new stage of development - with updated graphics, content and flexibility for players.
