Secrets from the filming of Andor. Season 2: Week 2 Fun Facts

Find out what The Force Awakens and Andor have in common when it comes to visiting distant planets, plus other fascinating behind-the-scenes facts about the making of Star Wars, now streaming on Disney+.

Creating Gorman's expansive and historically rich world in the second season of Andor required ambitious set construction spanning over 500 feet for exterior elements alone.

In fact, the new planet was created on the same Pinewood Studios location where the village of Jakku, which began the sequel trilogy, and the city of Jedha from the film “Rogue One” were once created. A Star Wars Storyand other impressive builds from the modern era ofStar Warsstorytelling.
