Star Wars quietly rewrote the plot of the canceled series

The Acolyte was canceled in August 2024, becoming the first Star Wars series to suffer such a fate. The project took place at the end of the Rise of the Republic, the golden age of the Jedi and the Republic as a whole.

The project was interesting in exploring the dark corners of the galaxy where the Sith threat secretly flourished. Manny Jacinto played the Stranger, who claimed that the Jedi would name him a Sith. Star Wars has since been careful to confirm whether he was a Sith or not.

All indications are that showrunner Leslye Headland planned for the Stranger to become the founder of the Knights of Ren. This was confirmed by the official art book, but the cancellation of the series means that all the ideas will never be realized. Star Wars may have simply rewritten Kimir's fate to suggest he wasn't one of the Knights of Ren at all.

The box office forecasts for The Mandalorian and Grogu vary widely. But all analysts point to the worst start in the history of live-action Star Wars.

The lower limit is at $70 million, while some analysts do not rule out a start of more than $80 million in the US (Han Solo had $84 million). According to World of Reel, box office receipts may depend on critical reviews.

This may explain why Disney and Lucasfilm are reducing the number of press screenings for the film. Some journalists are complaining online that PR people have told them that “The Mandalorian and Grogu” won’t be shown to critics in their region. This is strange, considering that previously all films in the franchise were shown to the press in advance.

This may indicate a lack of confidence in the studio's film. The first reactions indicate this.

In the new interview for ComicBook's The Mandalorian and Grogu series Jon Favreau revealed that he once considered creating a new Star Wars Christmas special dedicated to Din Djarin's corner of the galaxy. And yes, he even mentioned one great specific detail: “I don’t know how you would have done it without Peli Moto,” referring to Amy Sedaris’s gloriously chaotic Tatooine mechanic.

Honestly? Perhaps he is right.

A new mini-series of comics about Kylo Ren from Charles Soul has been announced

It may seem like a minor detail in the credits, but in the history of Star Wars, leading roles aren't handed out as easily as blue milk at a cantina.

The site does not have all Star Wars titles, so the site editors did not include many games from the 80s and 90s in their top list.

The leader, as expected, was Knights of the Old Republic, followed by Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II, and Rogue Leader: Rogue Squadron II rounding out the top three.
