Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic – Remake - a legendary story remade for PlayStation 5

Sony has announced the creation of a remake of the game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. Announcement posted on the company website.

Aspyr Media, Lucasfilm Games and SIE are remaking the classic RPG from the ground up for the modern era.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is the pinnacle of storytelling within the Star Wars Legends universe, set more than 4,000 years before the events of the original trilogy. The game presents a new story featuring new heroes and villains in an epic struggle for the fate of the galaxy. The team at Aspyr and Sony Interactive Entertainment have teamed up with Lucasfilm Games to bring you a remake of this classic Star Wars adventure. We're rebuilding one of the greatest RPGs of all time for a new generation with modern technology, features, graphics and more, while maintaining the integrity of the story and characters we love.

And it's exclusive to the PlayStation 5 console at launch.

Hayden Christensen commented on Star Wars about Darth Vader

Hayden Christensen is ready for a bigger return to the role of Darth Vader in Star Wars after the second season of Ahsoka.

Having played the role of Anakin Skywalker, who later became Darth Vader in the prequel trilogy, Christensen returned to the role after more than 15 years. The return took place in the series “Obi-Wan Kenobi”. After that, he starred in Ahsoka.

There have been rumors recently about a Darth Vader solo film being developed, in which Christensen could play the lead role. At the grand opening of the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art, the actor addressed the rumors to E! News. Answering the question whether he was ready to play the main role in the solo album, he gave a clear affirmative answer:

Of course. Yes, I would be delighted by such an opportunity. But for now these are just rumors.

Open Skyview - the Star Wars Galaxy Map & Night Sky App

The website Open Skyview is an interactive three-dimensional map of the Star Wars galaxy and a mobile application for observing the “starry sky” of fictional planets. The project was created by a fan under the nickname AurebeshFiles.

The site offers two cool modes:

• Galaxy Mode: Allows you to view the entire Star Wars galaxy in 3D, rotating, zooming in, and exploring the location of more than 2,000 canon and expanded worlds (from Tatooine and Coruscant to obscure planets).
• Sky Mode: Allows you to “stand” on the surface of any selected planet, select a latitude, and look at its night sky. If you open the site on your smartphone, you can use it as a virtual planetarium: by rotating your phone around you, you will see the stars and neighboring planets as if you were really in the Star Wars world.

On the site you can switch the time of day on the planets and speed up the rotation of the sky to see the movement of cosmic bodies. There are filters for films: you can display only those planets that appeared in specific episodes of the movie saga. "Star Wars" presented the best version of the Rey trilogy

Nearly seven years after the last Rey Skywalker film, Disney and Lucasfilm have delivered the best version of the Star Wars sequel trilogy.

Although the first projects under the wing of Disney brought huge profits, they caused conflicting reactions among fans. The Force Awakens was criticized for copying A New Hope, The Last Jedi divided the community into two camps, and the controversy surrounding The Rise of Skywalker. Sunrise" still does not subside.

There were several reasons for the mixed reaction to the trilogy. Some didn't like how the legacy of the original trilogy was treated, while others criticized the lack of a unified concept for all three films. But Andor wasn't the only realistic political thriller based on the Star Wars universe that came out last year. Alexander Fried wrote The Mask of Fear (Reign of the Empire), the first book in a trilogy, which, due to the shared characters and maturity of the plot, is a prequel to Andor. You could say zero season. Now Rebecca Roanhorse continues Freed's work and the Reign of the Empire trilogy with an equally gripping and deep spy story that resonates closely with both Andor and our real world.

The events of "The Edge of the Abyss" take place a year before the events of the first season of "Andor" and 13 years after the events of "Mask of Fear" ("Reign of the Empire"). Once again, Mon Mothma, Bail Organa, and Saw Gerrera, whose conflicting views lead them to find very different ways to break the Empire's iron grip on the galaxy, find themselves embroiled in a quest. When one of Guerrera's guerrillas is captured by the Empire after a mission goes wrong, panic sets in over what to do with the captive whose knowledge of the resistance could end the rebellion before it even begins. Meanwhile, Mon faces a horrifying discovery: the Empire has turned its sights on indoctrinating the galaxy's youth in order to further cement Imperial control of the galaxy.

The Edge of the Abyss is actually a prequel to the first season of Andor and, as such, features many characters from the popular series. Here is a list of all the characters that appear in both projects...

Lucas Museum of Narrative Art opening night with film, television and sports stars

Last night, co-founders George Lucas and Mellody Hobson hosted the grand opening of the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art, which was attended by celebrities from the worlds of film, television and sports, including many associated with Star Wars over the past fifty years, including Doug Chiang, Hayden Christensen, Josh D'Amaro, Laura Dern, Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Harrison Ford, Seth Green, Mark Hamill, Bryce Dallas Howard, Ron Howard, Ludwig Göransson, Bob Iger, Samuel L. Jackson, Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Oz.

On Saturday, September 19, 2026, co-founders George Lucas and Mellody Hobson hosted the opening night for the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art, part of a series of celebratory events that will culminate in its opening to the public on Tuesday, September 22, 2026.
