Creator and executive producer Tony Gilroy, production designer and executive producer Luke Hull, and Industrial Light & Magic visual effects supervisor Mohen Leo introduce us to Gorman's expansive sets, the new farming planet of Mina Rau, the first live-action incarnation of Mon Mothma's homeworld Chandrila, and more.

When the first season of Andor was released on Disney+ in the fall of 2022, the production team was already hard at work on the second. Production designer Luke Hull knew from the start that Season 2 would be another intense undertaking, and his team made sure to schedule in even more prep time than before. “It comes from the story and the characters and what’s on the page,” he explains of their approach to Andor’s grounded sense of design and construction. “It's about finding the tone that feels right for the story we want to tell. [Creator and executive producer Tony Gilroy's] approach has always been that every three episodes is a movie. You're trying to achieve that cinematic look that Star Wars has.

Asajj Ventress Returns in Star Wars: Tales from Hell

Asajj Ventress Returns in Star Wars: Tales from Hell

Dooku's dark disciple has returned and, of course, brought her legendary voice actor with her.

Starting with the 2008 film Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Asajj Ventress was brought to life by the incredible Nika Futterman. Futterman, who has voiced numerous characters across the galaxy, including Shaia Loquane and Sy Snootles, has always felt a special connection to the Sith apprentice as she told StarWars.com, “I feel like I’ve become her. We are one.”

But after the end of The Clone Wars, Ventress did not appear in animated shows for many years. “I lay under the covers for ten years, crying and saying: “Why is it all over! We haven't even finished my story!" - says Futterman.

One of the ways fans experienced some sort of "closure" to her character's story was in the acclaimed Star Wars: Dark Disciple, a canon novel written by Christie Golden and based on eight, never-released Clone Wars episodes. The book traced the relationship between Ventress and Jedi Knight Quinlan Vos and ended with Ventress sacrificing herself for the greater good. But now she's back... and Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld will help explain how it happened.

From the very beginning of his Hollywood career, George Lucas always did things his own way. Almost 60 years later, it has not changed a bit.

Appearing at the 45th anniversary screening of The Empire Strikes Back on the opening night of the 2025 TCM Classic Film Festival, Lucas spoke about meeting longtime friend and collaborator Francis Ford Coppola, his first experiences in the studio system, and his journey from American Graffiti to the industry-changing blockbuster Star Wars. However, despite the best efforts of host and moderator Ben Mankiewicz, he made almost no mention of the film that the audience had gathered for - and only when it was ready.
